Feusisberg/Dübendorf – The Oase Group, which specializes in elderly care, is joining forces with the Schwyz-based medtech company Dividat. Going forward, Dividat's physical training concepts will be implemented in all Oase locations, making use of the corresponding medtech equipment.

Dividat, from Feusisberg in the canton of Schwyz, is joining forces with the elderly care specialist Oase Group from Dübendorf in the canton of Zurich. “We are proud to announce the official partnership between Oase – Wohnen im Alter, and Dividat,” the Schwyz-based medtech company writes in a post on LinkedIn. “The Oase Group is working with Dividat’s physical training concepts and equipment across all its locations.” Dividat was founded in 2013 as a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. The company has developed a training platform called Senso.

Platform users can follow a sequence of movements with their feet as shown on the screen. A floor plate measures steps, weight shifts and balance, while the playful cognitive-motor exercises are designed to help prevent the increasing risk of falls as mobility decreases. They can also improve attention, concentration, memory and orientation in dementia patients. Senso is primarily used in retirement centers and clinics. In addition to Switzerland, Dividat is active abroad, particularly in the USA, where it has a branch in Boulder, Colorado.

The Oase Group offers various residential concepts for older people or those in need of care. The company’s retirement housing estates have senior apartments, care studios and care rooms. The aim is to give people as much independence as possible. The Group currently operates seven estates, with a further seven due to open by 2028. ce/hs
